Dial Up
We use a dial up to acces the internet. Lately we have been having trouble getting it to dial up. When we click on the icon to dial up, it usually tries to go straight to the home page without the dial up box. Then we get the error that the server cannot be found. We have tried shutting down the computer and sometimes this works, but we have to try to dial up several times before we can make a connection. Any ideas as to what may cause this. We have the Win 98 system and use two browsers. This dial up problem happens no matter which browser we try to use. Thanks for any suggestions.

Well you could actually dialup before you open your browser. This is done by going in to "My computer" and then clicking on the "Dialup" folder and then double clicking on the dialup you are interested in using. With this you will be connected to the internet, then all you have to do is boot up your browser. A lot easier than the hassle you are going through at the moment.

Thanks for the info. We do that too, but sometimes it will not connect. That is the way I connected last night. Just thought there may be something wrong that we could fix with a "click" or something.
