I've installed a small mp2 and mp3 player, but haven't been able to get it to play my tunes!
The player is 1BY1.
The instructions say I must have one of:
- MP3 ACM Codec
- mpglib.dll
- input plugins
Now, although I think I already probably have the reqired codec and even sufficient plugins, no tunes, so I dl'd mpglib.dll and put it in the 1BY1 folder as suggested, but still no tunes!
When I try to play an mp3, I get a dialogue box with instructins for settings, but I don't know how to follow them (see screen shot).
Clearly, I know little about codecs, drivers and the like, so please help me get my tunes playing!
TIA...

You can download an MP3 ACM Codec installer here: http://www.nobucksfreeware.com/mp3.htm
Just click where it says (get one here) in the MP3 DirectCut section. Under the Audio tab in the Settings box, is there a dot in either of the 2 MPEG Decoder choices? Make sure to check the ACM (MP3) box after you install the above file.
First of all, exactly what settings box and audio tab are we refering to?
>>Under the Audio tab in the Settings box, is there a dot in either of the 2 MPEG Decoder choices?
EDIT:
Well, I found the settings box! It's a bit surprising they expect people to find it by right-clicking on the "Repeat Mode" button, but that's where it is, and now I've got tunes via the lpglib.dll.
Thanks again, Gerdog.

Sorry about that. It is wierd that they don't have a simple Help button to access the settings, but maybe that's one of the ways they kept the program so small. Seems to play the music pretty well though.
Good point, Gerdog.
As it turns out, 1BY1 player won't play some of my mp3's, so I decided to try another player from the TINY list...
In my opninion, Cool Player is even more cool! It's just unzip, exe shortcut to taskbar, and next to no resource reduction later, TUNAGE! I'm quite impressed.
