Question Advice needed for networking at home..

My room mate and i are both running Xp pro. on our pc's at home. I have a cable modem..

What is the best way to be able to set everything up to share my internet connection

We've looked into a few things but end up w/ more questions than answers

    Thanks

A Cable/DSL router is probably the best way to go to connect the two PC's. You can get more info about them from http://www.linksys.com There are other manufacturers for them as well.

Linksys and Netgear make some pretty good routers. I'd go with one that has 5 ports on it to allow future expandability. There are a bunch of different models that offer various features and I think that any from the two brands I mentioned will be fine. Most can be had for under $100 but may cost a bit more if you want wireless built in.
