recycle bin - delete & recreate w/ 3 recycled dirs

    Hi gang.
Hey, when deleting and recreating the recycle bin, are the dos commands the same if there are 3 recycled directories - 1 for each of 3 drives via hd partitions?
IOW, (recycle bin is on desktop, but not sure where its actual target is) since recycled directories are located in all three of these locations ...

    C:\recycled
    D:\recycled
    E:\recycled

do the dos commands need to refer to all three directories in order to ensure they are all emptied/recreated and for the bin itself to be recreated?

If so, what are the commands and from which version of dos prompt do I begin (ie pure dos from cold boot, restart choice from shutdown dialogue box, or maybe just open a command prompt from within windows)?

    hope that made sense and...
    TIA...

Wow!!! Love at first byte. Ain't it grand.

From either a command prompt at bootup or a restart to DOS (but not a DOS window), enter the following 3 commands

    Deltree c:\recycled
    Deltree d:\recycled
    Deltree e:\recycled

Respond Y after confirming the directory name is correct.

    Question

    hmm...
    interesting, Train.
It seems that the recycled directories are not recreated until the recycle bin receives content. At that point, the directories reveal themselves & with the 65 bytes minimums.
    hmm...

Got curious, deleted what was in there using Disk Cleanup last night, then checked the folder just before I posted.
    Hmm is right.

The one file is probably the INFO2 file which keeps track of the relationship between the "dos name" and the real name, and the path to where is can be restored to.
