You may not get there. Outlook express uses POP3 or IMAP mail - which means you download the mail. Most of those free services only allow online mail unless you pay more for POP mail service.

Sounds like the MSN mail can be sent to Outlook Express. You need to set up the account - you will need the server name, your name and password. The in OE go to tools/accounts/mail/add

Sadly, both Hotmail and Yahoo! mail no longer provide POP3 access for free.
From Yahoo! Mail :
"Effective April 24, 2002, Yahoo! Mail will no longer offer POP3 Access or Auto Mail Forwarding at no extra charge...."
Hotmail posted the same information on its site sometime ago.

To answer your original question though Go to Tools> Accounts>all. That gives you Internet Accounts. You will see Bigfoot Infospace Verisign Yahoo, and hotmail if you chose the hotmail setup. Click Add button Mail and run through the screens.
If for example you choose Hotmail just fill in the appropriate information. Your HTTP mail service provider is Hotmail. That's all.

Once again Frebo here is the exact method :
Go to Tools> Accounts>all.
That's all.
You can not only do this with Hotmail but any of your web based e-mails.

That all tab is nothing but a consolidation of the mail, news and directory accounts. Your on-line accounts do not support POP3 or IMAP - which is what Outlook Express uses for mail. Not to repeat my original post, but . . .

Frebo Please. I know this works because I use it.
Follow my directions exactly.
1. Open Outlook Express
2. Under Tools Click Accounts
3. Under MAIL click the ADD button on the right
4. Click on Mail on the popup menu
5. Type in your name (it's probably already there)
6. Click next then Type in the name of your web account. (e.g. [email protected]) Click Next
7. On the My Incoming Mail Server choose Hotmail
for any other web e-mail you will probably need to contact your web e-mail provider, and ask what there mail server address is and type in the mail server. For example your hotmail mail server will look like this:http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp
Hotmail because it is part of Microsoft is a default choice.

tiberiuscan, be patient with me let me explain, when i first bought my computer i signed up for msn dialup which means my email account at msn is in my name the cable was in my wifes name so the outlookexoess account is in my wifes name now that we have roadrunner. when i try to click the add button her name shows up if i change it it tells me i already have a hotmail which i do, my msn contract is up so i wanted to have all my email that went to me at msn to go to my wifes account at outlook express msn tech told me yesterday that i couldn't do this i would have to have the account in outlook changed to my name, there is a charge to do this from my cable co. to put in my name i do not have a outlook express account. hope this makes sense to you, i sure appreciate your help.

Hi Frebo My next suggestion would have been to create a new account.
Yes all web based accounts use http not pop3 which is why I suggeseted you contact your other web based accounts to find out their addresses.
HTTP stands for HyperTextTransferProtocol. As you may know Hypertext is the language of the internet.
POP stands for PostOfficeProtocol
