    Logitech Optical USB mouse

I am having problems with my optical mouse, sometimes when I stop moving the mouse I notice that the cursor shaking slightly. It stops after I move the mouse again, but I was wondering what is making it do that? Can anyone help me?
    Thanks in advance.

I am having problems regardless of what surface it is on, and use a PS/2 adaptor. I have noticed that when I am using USB I still get problems but not as much.

I am having similar problems with the same mouse. I am finding it hard to control and much prefer my old PS/2 ball mouse.

As my mouse was attached to a new Dell system I contacted them and received a replacement today but it is still just as bad. Think i'll just plug my old mouse!

Does the cursor move just on the windows desktop or in program? If it moves in a program if could be that when the program was aligning your mouse (startup of that program) your hand may have been on it and moving the mouse and that is the center make the program captured for your mouse.

    Good Luck

but i dont have many options for my laptop ... so i grin and bear it

I've experienced the problems you've had, but it seems it's due to the surface. I'm using another Logitech optical mouse and it's on a non-reflective mousepad and it doesn't have the shakiness. I have not tried the Logitech dual optical mouse yet....still waiting till it comes down in price!
