HP Scanner Drivers
I have a ScanJet 5370C HP scanner. I wanted to update my drivers and in doing so I notice the version of the updated driver is 2.52 (dated Feb. 2002). I already have that version on my system but I think it came with my scanner which I purchased in 2001. Should I not bother to download and install (if it ain't broke, don't fix it)? Also, when I attempted to install, I got a warning that a Microsoft Digital Signature did not appear on the software and so it might not run successfully. Any comments from those more experienced than me.
Thanks.

It is just possible that version 2.52 is the latest version. If it works ok, then don't update it.
The warning "Microsoft Digital Signature did not appear on the software and so it might not run successfully" just means that Microsoft have not tested it with windows so Microsoft offers no guarentees. Quite a lot of progs fall into this catagory and should not cause concern.

Hi, Hp driver page lists version 2.52 as the latest, however this is the software as well as the drivers(around49mb). If you are having no problems then stay as you are.Readrj is right about the microsoft digital signature as well.
