    its just refering to the hidden url...
    this dialogue box presents itself in place of the regular Siderbite box reading something like:
    "the Spider has bitten; would you like to restart your computer?"

    Ridgerunr - tried a few clean installs - no go

    Rainbow32 - did as you said but no success - was I supposed to recite a little spell along with trying 3 times?

    Nix - now THAT'S interesting, eh?!? I"d sure like to figure out what's up with that!!

    I think the problem has something to do with this apparently NEW index.dat file (in a new folder):

    c:\WINDOWS\History\History.IE5\MSHist012002071220020713\index.dat

    thanks for all the feedback - any more thoughts/ideas folks?
