Windows Installer

Hi, nice new format ! I am running Windows XP Pro with Office XP: The main delema ( more annoying than problematic )is that when I open Word I get the blue/white spplash screen then the "Windows Installer " box pos up saying " preparing to install and aprox 30 secs later the prog loads. Not a huge issue of course, but Powerpoint , Exel Outlook and access open relativly instantly.
Any help would be appreciated

It sounds as if, and looking at your computer's specs, that you may need to add 128 Mb of RAM.

Hi nickblears - Office XP may not be installed correctly. Have a look here. Try uninstalling it then reinstalling and see if this helps. Cheers AM

Found the prob.....cachman was stealing too much memory....think I'll let windows handle that side of thing.!
Thanks for the replies....not sure if this is the right way to let you know that it's fixed, but at least you pointed me in the right direction
