Looks great and and more useful functions.
Something I do miss is the list of forums along the top of the page.I have to keep going back instead of being able to go directly to the next forum.

You know, it's kinda like moving to a new town. You have no idea where anything is. But instead of wishing you'd never moved, you get out and start looking around and finding out that maybe this new town is better than the old one.
It just takes getting used to. The best thing to do, on each page, is look around at every button and link, and click them to see where they take you. You can't hurt anything by doing that.

It's a yawner. What have we gained? The ability to type unreadable text using this color ? And it's cookie based. How about counting all the threads and posts about cookies and spyware and using Ad-Aware, etc.? Seems a step backwards for those of us who are more conscious than the average Joe.
But admittedly I'm very irritated, after wasting so much time trying to get in, to get in with a new name with my one and only e-mail address, to try and change my password, or get the old one verified, blah blah blah.

VDr always had cookies. Both now, as then, you can turn the cookie feature off. -mk

Well, I stand corrected on the cookie part. I found that this time on the log in page my name dropped down automatically since I set IE to remember user names and passwords. But I'd been to that dang page several times, before I got all this crap straightened out, and kept getting rejected, hence the confusion.
So if anyone is still having problems getting in, you'll have to get your password straight first. No way around it.
