..."No ID Address Mark Was Found On The Floppy..."

Floppy won't work... lights up, but I get the error:

..."No ID Address Mark Was Found On The Floppy..."

Is this Floppy Drive error a:

    1) hardware problem
    2) controller problem
    3) driver problem

How would I go about fixing it?

I tried removing and reinstalling the driver, tried google, couldn't find much about it, exceptthat's it's an error...

    ------------------
    1) AMD Athlon 750MHz, 365Ram, onboard Audio and Video.
    2) AMD K6/2 550Mhz, 194RAM, Monster Fusion, and Vortex/Aureal Sound...
    3) Linksys router and Cable Modem.

I'm getting the impression that the floppy is not formatted, corrupt or the floppy drive is not working.

Try another floppy disk. Try another floppy drive.

    References:

    Found the following on http://debs.future.easyspace.com/Pro...DC/floppy.html

    NID: no address mark
    Set if: The ID address mark was not found after one complete disk revolution;

OR: The controller could not find:
    a data address mark DAM
a deleted data address mark DAM
    on the specified track.
