Can someone direct me to a site where I van look up mother board beep codes for a Compaq Presario 1235 Notebook?
And/or does any one know what this beep sequence is for the above mentioned system:

Probably a video problem. Card/onboard chip may be out of kilter. Does the monitor come on?

Vid beep code then. Have you installed anything recently. Try to recall what app/activity was going on just before this or the last shutdown. Were you rebooting?

That really should not have screwed with your video, but hey, we're talking Windows here...(it's also possible you may have just knocked something loose in there, but doesn't sound likely either--unless you used a baseball bat to reboot it with). I'm going to do some checking around on this one. May take a few. Meanwhile, hang in there.

1 long, 3 short Conventional/extended memory
for AMI BIOS if that is what you have
very possible that it's the video also
You loaded the Novell 5.1 but what were the sys requirements.

Should i try pulling out one of my 32mb of ram.
I wasn't loading novell 5.1. Just a dns/dhcp client that is used to configure the dhcp server on a novell 5.1 server.

Suggest you try an external monitor to see if it is the video or the LCD. will look for the beep codes also.
