    Quick question for Delta Crew..

I didn't want this to get mixed up in the regular thread but I wanted an opinion....The next machine that I am going to build I am using an aluminum case...already have the cuts on my hands just thinking about it....Do any of you have preferences on standoffs brass or nylon...let me hear those opinions.

If you can spare the money, buy a Lian Li - you won't regret it. CoolerMasters are too expensive compared to LL. Alu cases are just terrific working with...

Nothing at all wrong with the aluminum cases, but if you are going to modify one (i.e.: cut additional fan holes) you will need to be careful not to bend the metal.
Prefer brass standoffs to plastic--little more surer hold.

Being somewhat new to this building stuff, I've only ever used brass. No problems. However in doing some research I came across an interesting idea that some folks were using. They would use a combination of brass and nylon. The brass ones for actually mounting the board and the nylon ones in areas behind the board that needed extra support, but didn't have screw holes in the area. This would help prevent excessive flexing of the board when cards were inserted. Nylon was used in these areas to prevent the board shorting out. I should have tried this myself, because although my board has plenty of perimeter screw holes, there is only a couple in the interior. As a result the board flexes quite a bit when inserting RAM or PCI cards. Might be worth looking into anyway *shrug*.
