a good friend need a little help

    Hi, any ideas on this?

    her message

I bought a DR-DA600, Magic Video TNT2 M64 AGP - 32MB 2D/3D video card and the fan has quick working. Causing me no end of problems... My tech says send it in for warranty. I bought it from Egghead, called them to get the info on where to send it, and find the company has gone out of business. He did some searching on the net and told me Hi-Val bought the company out, but didn't appear to take the video card division. He recommended I write to them to find out who did. I've written and gotten no response.

Anybody you know might know how I can get warranty on this damn thing?

If not, I guess I'll just smile...

    can anyone here help her?
That would make her really smile

    thanks, Jaak
    Kind regards, Jaak.

When I pull my bootstraps, why don't I load Windows?

    Jaak,

    Check out the company IOMagic.

PS. She might also just be able to replace the fan on the card. There are places that see fans for vid cards.

    thanks
it even has a section for RMA

I am glad you posted this info.
someone sent a private email with an offer for a replacemment fan which I forwarded, and my fave New Mexican Lady told me she got in contact to follow up on that offer.

I think one can do a direct RMA when the company one bought it from went out of bizz.
I'll let her know about this new post
The RMA info is here http://www.iomagic.com/support/contact.htm
lets hope this is still p to date.
(the way I understand her message above, this might not be the company she contacted, I dunno. I get the impression she wrote to egghead or E-val, but I dunno.)

    anyways, we's getting somewhere.
