Operation Delta 28
Operation Delta 28 now begins. This thread continues to evolve as computers are built and then modded and overclocked. It is interesting to contemplate what will happen next.

Hi matt2sexe4u, Delta is an acronym for Dedication to Excellence and Long Term Acheivement and we combined it with Operation to indicate movement. Originally started as a thread to help the completely inexperienced person a way of building his own computer without mistakes. The threads that make up Operation Delta are long and highly detailed. Due to this there is also fun and humor. Right now we are dealing with overcloking and modding. The people who monitor this particular thread use it for various and highly technical issues when they are not busy helping someone start out.
Anyone can drop in and ask a question or make a comment or post results on whatever they are doing. Hope this helps you. Be well.

The sound of silence. Bet someone is busy elsewhere. Capacitors and transformers stink when shorting. Sure hope netfish gets sorted out.

Yup, just us. Gives us time to reflect. The Queen of Hearts has probably overclocked herself again.
Net fish did say if I read it right, he had swapped out pcs to check out.

Had to drop in and say "howdy" from Cleveland. Answered a couple of posts, but have to sign off now. My Brother-in-laws system and server are so slow, it's driving me up a wall. Brother-in-law is hesitating comitting himself to buying the parts so I can rebuild a decent system for him. Arrrgh!
(he DOES stock a decent beer however....)
Maybe see ya'll tonight sometime...

partial already, You bet and goose you know that is the truth
bistro, mom and dad may want to drown her after I get done. Probably all 4 of them.
Had to clear a error message out of this machine. Defrag005 believe me with only 32MB ram and a AMD K6-2?? 233MHz cpu it took hours. Added powerfulPC and appropriate vcashe, speeded it up. also, slipped WinMe defrag in, but if you were to go start >run, 98defrag> OK the old Win 95 defrag will run.
Left it that way for problems and need to use safe mode. It worked beautifully.
May you all have a good week.

WE INTERRUPT THIS THREAD FOR A STUPID QUESTION:
Never posted in a "Delta" thread before, but I was wandering if I could ask a question. I've been looking at alot of systems in the newspaper ads. Most of them have "Intel Direct 3D AGP Graphics" What is this all about? I assume this is onboard graphics card? Is it any good? Thanks folks.

No problem, maxximillian. Ask away anytime. That's a standard graphics driver (not a card)--often found in systems with onboard video made by Intel ("reference" driver).
Can refer to the video chipset itself also.

Hi Max, you found us. This place is in a coast mode at the moment. If you want to see what goes on read the other threads at your leisure. Lie low though when the Queen of hearts shows up.
Train, glad things are fine.
Bistro, you don't think QoH is doing stained glass easter eggs do you. Happy Easter and nite all.

Hi greengoose. I've been perusing the past Deltas, but to be honest, it's mostly over my head. Learning though. BTW, my Aunt's Compaq that you and Theoran were assisting me on the other day with all those weird background programs, is running fine. So far I got her back about 23% of her resources. Still room to shave a few more I think though. Good luck with the Deltas. I'll be reading them in case I opt for a build rather than a buy.
