    Windows Media Player Version 6.4 and WinME

    Would someone tell me please, is the old WMP Vers. 6.4 installed with ME as well as the new Vers. 7.0?
    Will explain why I want to know if I get an answer.

    yes it is. If you select an mpg file in win explorer right click then select 'open with | choose program' and scroll through the list of applications media player 7.0 is listed as 'microsoft(r)windows media player' but further down media player 6.4 is listed as 'windows media player'

    Thanks Korky, the reason I was asking is because I don't have Real Player and at a News site I clicked to watch a Video and was given a choice of players to use. I chose Windows Media player and expected WMP 7.0 to come up but got the old Ver.6.4. instead. From what you say though, this may be normal.
