WinME Shutdown Issue
I have been having intermittent shutdown problems for a while but it would come and go...now for the last 3 days it has been constantly not shutting down...it just goes to a blank screen with all fans still running. I have a pvk7 athlon 750 with 384 mb sdram S3 32mb video card cd-burner dvd-rom
this board has the Via Chipset on it. I have tried using the MSCONFIG and disabling win.ini and system.ini and rebooting with the same shutdown problems. I disabled APM in the bios and rebooted same problem. I have all Me version drives and the lateste VIA 4in1 drivers.. what else can I do I did scanreg\restore and choose a registry from a week ago but same problem.

I tried all of those methods with no luck...I had an extra hard drive around so I have loaded Win2k to test it and see how compatible it is with the applications I use. If it works out I will keep this O.S. if not I will go back to 98SE.
