suggestions needed ... xp and 2k ...
home network ...
main machine (xp) running ics with za and 2 nics
this machine is connected to my modem and to a generic hub
off of this hub is a win 2k machine
now i can browse the win2k machine from the xp machine just fine
when i try to browse the xp machine from the 2k machine no dice
any quick suggestions?
also when za is running the 2k machine does not have internet connectivity
any quick suggestions?

Setup a user on the windows xp machine with the same name as the windows 2000 machine.
Make sure you have zone alarm set to "This computer is a ICS/NAT gateway" (check box)
I have the exact same setup.

couldnt find that checkbox ...
but when i typed gateway in the help box it told me to lower my internet settings from high to medium and that seemed to work ...
going to check out the user thing now ...

The ICS/NAT gateway option is in ZoneAlarm PRO.

simple simple simple
all you need to do is on the pro machine under explorer/properties/tools/file is uncheck the simple networking something or other
