just recently accomplished this myself. Each game has different setup and use different protocols.Basically every computer must have the game in question installed .Once the game is running on each computer choose the multiplayer option and choose which computer will be the host or server, the other computers will then join the game once the server has initialized the game. Hopefully your computers each have a static ip assigned as this makes it much easier to know who is who.I personally use 192.168.100.1 for me and .2 and .3 for the other computers.Look over your options carefully as u set up the main server, joining is usually quite easy as the server will broadcast the settings to the other pc's.If u are using dhcp then use winipcfg in the run command line to determine what each pc's ip address is. btw the game we are playing now is nascar 4 and runs on tcp/ip though some older games use ipx/spx protocol. let us know what game u would like to play.most of this is trial and error but if u made your won network this will be a no brainer once u get goin. luck

when I was playing network games I would install both tcp/ip and ipx/spx just to make sure both protocols were covered...then setup the games and see which protocol they want to use....and if they offer a choice then I would see which actually played better...sometimes tcp/ip sometimes ipx....depending on the game....like they said above..sometimes it is just trial and error
