VERY URGENT PLEASE HELP!! Network Color LaserJet printer can not ping or print to
I was printing a rather large document to our Color LaserJet printer 4500 DN and some of it did not print. So I tried to print another copy and it did not print and it stated that I was not connected. I can not ping my printer no more which was set up on the network as 192.168.1.107 and we did nothing to the printer? Any suggestions? I am very confused we need to print these colored documents TODAY!

Did you try to turn the printer off then turn it back on?
Any error messages from the printer? (Out of ink? out of paper? paper jam? etc)

I assume that is a HP printer. If you can't find any error messages on the printer itself, I would suggest you call HP.

It is a HP 4500DN
and I called them and they said it is the network but the network is working fine and was working fine and then all of a sudden bam with no changes to the network.

Well, HP said that ?!!
Can you print a test page from the printer itself?
If yes, do you have another Jetdirect card for that printer?

I can print a configuration page from the printer but not a test page from a computer.
I am not sure what you mean about another JetDirect card?

Right at where you plug your network cable into the printer, there is a network card for that printer. I don't know if you have a spare one to replace it.
You can print from the printer itself, yet you can't "ping" it from the network, make me think that the network card on that printer is not working.

Other things you can try:
Unplug then replug the network cable to the printer.
Reset the printer to factory default, then try to use JetAdmin to reconfigure it.
Good luck.

Great!!!
Yes, I do know you can reconfigure from the printer itself, just never done that before.
