Locked out of router

Does anyone know how to get back into a telnet session that has locked me out. I was telnetted into an Ascend Pipeline router, and changed some ip's, and then closed out of the session. Afterwards, I tried to get back into it and I was not able to. I tried using the new ip address that I changed. I do not have a serial cable to hyperterminal into it.

It sounds like you changed the Ip address of the router to an IP that is not on your network.

for example if you change the router from
10.1.1.1 to 192.168.10.1 ...
Now you cannot get to it because it's in a different IP network.

Change the IP address of your PC to an address in the same network as the new address of the router and try to telnet to it.
