O2000 - ...coflict with other appointment
Been trying to figure this out for hours!
I have bold entries onn days with no apparent entries, but when I put entries in those days, it says I have conflicts - conflicts with what?
How can I find out what else is scheduled there?
I've tried changing views and see nothing!
TIA...

Don't know what your using to schedule?,but is it possible you have something set to run weekly or daily thats conflicting with what you are wanting to run.i.e. Virus scan set to run daily at a specified time or a Defrag set to run weekly?
Win 7
Asrock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3
I5 2500k @4ghz
8Gb DDR3 2133Mhz
Crucial M4 128Gb SataIII SSd

surprise, surprise - howdie holmes...
I'm using O2000 (as per subject line)...
personal appointment scheduling, not pc utilites...
not trying to run anything...
just trying to integrate all my school, work and personal appointments together in a workable monthly planner type view...
seams there are conflicting appointments, but no conflicts are apparent to me...
ie, bolded day with nothing listed in the calendar - try scheduling something, and says there's a conflict, c?

Hey davey, could be that there are "all day events" scheduled which appear at the top of the date in day or week view. Stick it in Month view and see if they show up.

Oops.
Try View>CureentView>CustomiseCurrentView>Look for filters.
It's possible to HIDE those not complying with a filter (e.g show only those meetings organised by Jim and all meeting organised by someone else will be hidden).

Hi Sean - thanks.
I have set an event/appointment entry with weekly recurrance - only that entry shows up on that day...
When I check most of those entries for editting, it says there's conflicts with other entries...
Went to View>CureentView>CustomiseCurrentView
and looked for filters - the "filter..." button says "off" beside it - went in there anyhow and clicked "clear all"...
no apparent change - Still dunno!

davey, I've now had a play at home (OL2000 W98se with POP internet mail only) and work (OL2000 W2000pro on MSExchange) and the only way I could get invisible conflicting appointments/events was to apply a filter.
M$KB was no luck either.
I'm drawing a blank here.

Hi again, Sean - thanks for popping back...
I got an idea (workaround?):

I secure my personal folders files/folders on my hardrive somehow...
export my calendar, notes, address book to a web-based address (set-up - been done before)
troubleshoot the apparent conflict from that perspective (web-based address book)...
uninstall Outlook 2000
clean install Outlook 2000
merge personal folders, Calendar, Notes, Address Book back into O2000
It may not be necessary to move the address book and notes around, but I'd like to get as clean an install as possible, therefore I'd want to be sure I have my personal folders secure for merging after the O2000 install.
whadya think?
thanks and TIA...
