Editing Surround Sound - Need App
What applications support sound editing and output in either 4 channel or 5.1 channel configurations? I have a soundblaster live! 5.1 and it seems logical that there should be a way to control the output of all six speakers. Maybe a DVD editing app or a high-end audio app. Any ideas would be much appreciated, thanks!

try e-mailing the people at soundforge about this (www.soundforge.com)
they have excellent software, and I'm sure they've tried this...or at least would have the best answer (call support line, not sales)

Emagic Logic is one of them, but this may be more then you need.

Sound Forge killed their Soft encoder 15 months ago.

Low budget, I think under 100: Cubasis VST3. It's a sequencer but has Surroundpanner effect which you can take a stereo signal and create 5.1. (Not pro plug in).
Didn't your card come with an encoder?
