Don't know how to use IP address

I have a certain IP address and I have tried to use it instead of the usual "http..." with IE, but it didn't work. Are there any letters to type before the numbers?

I use IE 5.01(SP2) and I can either just put the numbers in the address bar or put the numbers there with "http://". Both work. You can try a nslookup site like this and see if it gives you anything.
