    ICQ in Japanese

I have a client (my neighbor) that has sisters in Japan that she communicates with. Currently I have Outlook Express working with Global IME to toggle between Japanese & US characters. This works fine but is only designed for Outlook Express

Today I installed the latest ICQ for them. She would like to be able to get ICQ to do something similar when sending messages to her family as they do not speak English. I know that ICQ supports multilinual capabilities.

We downloaded a program called LingoWare that appears to be able to do this. However we seem to be having problems with it. The menu options are unintelligble

Anyone know how to get ICQ to do Japanese characters when sending messages?
In the beginning there was the command line

Do you mean the menu's are in japanese?
According to this (i've never used lingoware)that's exactly what it's supposed to do http://www.lingoware.com/english/support/index.html
I'm a little confused reading this info at the support site but i think you can change that by clicking the parrot?
I'm also gathering that it does not translate text in messages, that will be available in version three.
Maybe I'm reading it wrong, I need some coffee, it's early, see what you read.
