    Slow Dropdown Menus

    I have Win98SE. My problem is that in any Office 97 application, when I hit, say File, it drops down in a slow scroll. The same action in IE5.5, the dropdown menus are immediate. All other programs and windows also respond immediately.

    Does anyone have any idea what the solution might be?

    In MS Word->Tools->Customize->Options->Menu Animation->Take your pick.

    Thank you very much, Steve. That corrected, what I perceived to be, the problem. It was sent on Random. Didn't even know that setting was there. Thanks again. -mk

    So it was only slow "randomly?" Half a problem
