    Selecting multiple cells in Excel97

    I have one machine that does not allow selecting of multiple cells in Excel97. single cells can be selected, cut,copied, pasted etc. Cannot select more than one cell.
    Any ideas?

    Could be any number of things, so lets start with general stuff first: have you installed any Service Releases? You should be on SR2b. See if that helps.

    (BTW If you just have the base load of Office, you'll need to get both SR1 and SR2b; they are not cumulative. And make sure you get SR2b not SR2a, which still had some bugs.)

    Don't believe the Service packs are involved. Same version of Excell on classroom of 30 computers, only one has this problem. I figure it must e a setting somewhere that was changed.
