    Weird KaZaa problem...

Anybody experience Kazaa creating a window on your desktop that isn't actually a window, but a "screen capture" of your desktop? Just started happening to me...seems to be when I go into my shared folder on the desktop. The window can't be closed or minimized or anything.

Probably a bad omen for looking at all this free porn...

Hi Joel - I haven't seen what you're seeing now. Dunno for sure, but sounds like buggy stuff goins on!

Update and run your a-v (maybe online too)...
    Update/get adaware and run it...

Are you using spyware free Kazaa?
you've been hangin out here long enough to know about spyware, right?
There's lots of info about peer-to-peer file sharing programs and spyware-free options in the archives here in VDr...
    Maybe you've seen THIS THREAD.

    Hi Joel,

I know what you're talking about. The ad looks like a small pop-up window but isn't really. It has the Close button (the cross in corner) and the minimize button making it look like a windown but in fact the whole thing is a ad banner and if you click on any part of it, it will take you to the website!

The only way to get rid of it is to press Ctrl/Alt/Del when it comes up and then End Task it. This way you won't have to click on it.

I don't know much else about it...but I'll do some searching and see what comes up

Hope this helps and please post back!

"Ctrl+W" will close the top window.

It's actually a picture of my desktop, and can be moved, but doesn't take me anywhere when I double click it.

What I have noticed is that it "minimizes" to the MY COMPUTER icon on my desktop when I double click the blue window bar at the top.

I have a screen capture, I'll try to post it.

    CTRL-W does not work....

    Hi Joel,

First I suggest you run a virus scan. There's a free one at http://housecall.antivirus.com/
Then run AdAware tpo get rid of any spyware AND if you have to use Kazza, download and install Kazza Lite instead as it has been stripped of all the spyware!

Good luck and please post back!

I know what you mean. Usually Ctrl/ALT/DEL will take care of it. But what you should also do is get rid of some nonsense that Kaaza adds to your comp ..
you can read it about it here. http://zdnet.com/2251-1110-875169.html
this might help a litte bit as well.
