dialing up

Whenever I disconnect from the internet it will go ahead and start dialing up on its own. Where is this doing this at and how can I make it not do it. Nothing comes up on my screen at all but you can hear it dialing up and then it connects. It just started doing this. Thanks for any help.

You must be using one of those ISP dialing up programs.Probably the program of your isp and it may be connecting automatically whenever you disconnect.If you are sure you are not using any program like that, try to create a new dial up connection and connect with it.

See what else is running in your system tray. If there are other programs that requires access to the internet (for example: MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger,Gator... etc), it will reconnect after you disconnect.
