Kat - Misc question about the IE/Tools/Security tab...
I noticed here: http://discussions.virtualdr.com/For...ML/001876.html your recommendation for *.doubleclick, etc... (in restricted sites)
Can I use that method *.xxxxxx for all site entries in Trusted AND Restricted?
I am thinking I shoud add in all those ad parasite things I just removed...

Sorry Cindy, was in the middle of anwering a while back, got booted off and couldn't log back on, grrrr.
Anyway, that tip was initially posted by another member, Train, sometime back. It's a good one. I followed his instructions, removing sypware with Ad-Aware, then entering the IE settings using only the doubleclick.com and .net, and have had no further spyware on my system after that.

Thank you. It's easier than adding in every single URL a site sends. Wish I had thought of it before! I think I should spend a few days here poking around...

You'll get hooked Cindy, guarantee it . There's a wealth of info in these posts. Be sure to check out some of the other V.Dr. forums, too. (Win98 is very active) And the Virtual Dr. Search tool (at bottom right of "Post") really helps, too.
