    rip ´sicanderbul´

I regret to inform that my beloved ´sicanderbul´ the 486 in which I learned most of what I know of linux past away yesterday... It's hard drive just give up...

Itoh, my new machine ´trantor´ is just shinning brighter and brighter.. I bought a 17 inches [!!!] monitor for it and a very nice graphic display adaptor -a Diamond Fire 1000 GL 8mb memory-, men I'm running X at 1024x768 and 24 bits...
Funny thing, had to do all the changes by hand, ´XConfigurator´ crashes invariably on my machine... Once you get to read -and edit- ´XF86Config´ a couple of times, it looses all its mystery.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I'm sure she'll be missed. But Like they say, Life goes on. I was going to add something about finding something new one day, but I guess there's no grass growing under your feet. LOL. -mk

Thanks, I'm sure she will be remebered by many as a fine piece of steel.
But I guess I will replace the faulty unit, and move on... I still have to learn a lot about networking two machines... Using ´ssh´ ´telnet´ and all those goodies.
Thanks for the kind words, I'm sure she would find them nice ;->

What right does the hard drive to call itself the computer?
