    defrags at bootup prior to booting to win3.1

    This old gateway 386 runs defrag after post test, prior to booting to win 3.1. How can I correct this?

    Hi. Welcome to VirtualDr.

    There is probably a line in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file that is doing this. Look for a line with 'defrag' in it, and put a 'REM ' at the beginning of that line. You can type 'edit autoexec.bat' at a DOS prompt to edit the file, or run SYSEDIT from Windows.
