    win3.1 change settings error

    changed resolutions settings from 600 x 400 to 800 x 600. messed things up royal. what to do. vga monitor. when turned on I can see every thing up to the point prog. man. comes up than all screwy. help please thanks!!

    It's been a while since I've dealt with Windows 3.1 but try the following.

    Boot to a dos prompt (don't go in to windows). Change directories to C:\Windows then type SETUP and press enter. A screen will pop up that will allow you to change several settings including monitor settings.
