    OS loading trouble

    I wanted to clean up my HD, so I formatted it. The problem is I erased all traces of drivers for my CD-ROM, so I can't load the OS from my CD-ROM. No problem, I'll just get an OS in a diskette. Got one. No problem booting up from boot diskette, the problem is when the system ask for "setup" disk, it'll read and say preparing to setup. But then all activities comes to a halt. The diskette, I believe, is fine. What is wrong? Is there something that I missed? Please help.

    Have you tested the diskette on another computer to make sure it was working. ?

    also did you set up a partition on your C drive to copy new software?

    No, Haven't tested the diskette on another machine. Yes, I've partitioned the c: (single partition). So, you think it migth be a bad diskette?
