MEM command in windows 3.11
When I execute the DOS mem command, it reveals free Extended memory as being 31,385K. After I load Win 3.11 (WFWG)and execute the MEM command from a DOS box, it revels free Extended memory as being only 1024K. How come? Please advise, thanks

when you do mem in dos(before windows 3.11 is up, use instead win /p /c this will tell you what is loaded into memory. Keep track of these programs. After win311 is up, do mem /p /c in your dos window, and you will see that win31 has added 1 or 2 programs. If I had a win311 machine I would be able to tell you what these programs are but I can't remember now.

sorry for the error, but I mistyped the command. type mem /p /c (that is the correct command, not win /p /c)
