computer won't boot
g3 won't boot. took hd out and still works with other computers. did power supply die? what could be wrong?

Well it isn't a lot of info to go on...How far does it get and what happens?
Does your G3 boot from your system CD? Hold down 'C' at startup to force it to try.
Does the system folder have the appropriate enablers for the hardware you're using? A system folder which will boot a IIci will not necessarily work for a G3.
Have you zapped the P-RAM?
Does the hard drive spin up?
If you have external devices or additional accessory cards, have you removed them?
If you can boot from the CD have you tried a diagnostic tool on the computer (such as Tech Tool Pro, Diskwarrior, or NUM)?
Does the hard drive from another computer boot this CPU?
If the drive can be mounted as a second drive on another mac, have you run a diagnostic on the drive there?

thanks for all your help. I discovered it was the fuse that needed replacing.
