I need a color scanner. I have a Macintosh Performa 5200CD. Don't know anything about interfaces, dpi, resolution, reliable companies, etc. Please help with advice.

When I bought my scanner, 14 months ago, I bought a UMAX ASTRA because MACWORLD rated it as the best of the inexpensive scanners. I woould think that what you buy depends on what your needs are. Mine were just for scanning family photos to print or use in screen savers etc. Simple stuff.

WHAT EVER! scanner you buy, if it is possible
for you to get the software from "Black Widow" for scanning, you will not be
disappointed, it will not be easy, but do not
listen to the masses. This software will let you scan the foreground of pictures, so your file sizes are reduced, if b/ground is not
important!!!!!!!.
