Outlook and Hotmail
For about a month now, I've been unable to connect to my Hotmail account using Outlook Express. I know It's not a problem with my computer because I can't connect using my other computers. I have no problems connecting to my other e-mail accounts. My brother has no problem connecting to Hotmail, he is using the same O/S and ISP that I am using.
Is any one else experiencing this problem?

I didn't think you could connect to it as a POP server. When you set up the mail account try the option HTML in the incoming mail server pull down list.

I found the solution to my problem with Outlook and Hotmail.
1) Delete the Hotmail account from Outlook Express 6
2) Do a synchronize ALL accounts ( Tools / Synchronize All ) This will clean up the remaining databases
3) Re-Install the Hotmail accounts.. Make sure you use all LOWER CASE for the hotmail e-mail address
4) When OE asks to download the folders, say Yes.. and when it starts.. Immediately Cancel the operation.
5) Go back to the Tools Menu and synchronize All again. This will synchronize all e-mail accounts including the Hotmail account
