    Divx 5.01

    I am looking for a place to download Divx 5.01 that is not bundled with that stupid Playa. I only want the codec. Anyone know of a download site? All I can find is bundled downloads.

    Can you not download the bundle install it all and then uninstall the playa?

    Thats really the hard way. Why ever install anything in your computer that you do not want? I've been around too long for that game.

    There used to be several sites to download the stand alone version 4, but I can't find the new version 5 without also downloading the Playa.

    I agree.. It is best to get the Codec then you can use it with your fav media player.. or any media software u may install


    I may be wrong.. isn't there some limitations on DIVX 5? that maybe why the codec isn't being distributed seperatly.. I will have to find my notes on this..
