    Copy cd to harddrive

    How do I copy my CD of XP pro to my harddrive, to avoid being asked to insert my CD everytime I need to install software.

    Hi Nomad,

    In this case, you only need to copy the I386 folder. Just drag and drop it.

    Limerick suggested a quick solution.

    Although I haven't done this with my XP disc, I did this procedure for Win98. I'm sure it will work for XP as well, just change where it says Win98 to WinXP....
