did you install xp already or do you have to do that for this?

if you have xp installed, you already have a partition, if you want to change the size of that you have to use a third party application like partition magic.

if it's an empty drive you can use a win98 or winME bootup disk and run the command fdisk,

or you can adjust your bios so that you can bootup with the XP cd-rom and during setup you make or change partitions.

you can reboot with a bootdisk (98 or ME, or get one from www.bootdisk.com) and partition it with the command fdisk. or use partition magic.

oops, forgot to ask do you want a FAT or a NTFS partition, because if you want a NTFS you can still use the bootdisk, but you can only make FAT and FAT32 partitions, when finished you have to convert them to ntfs within XP. With partition magic that's no problem, it can make all kinds of partitions.

    yes it is,

just go to Control Panel, Admin Tools, double click Computer Management,in the left click Disk Management.

Right click the drive, partition, logical drive, or volume for that you want to work with.

    Hi
I have made a partition on my harddrive before I formated it, but I want to make 1 of the drives bigger.
It just seems like I can not do that within xp (pro), its fat32 as it is right now, anybody know what to do?
