Product Activation - MS 'Family Pack'
For those worried about installing XP on another computer, I've just read (in Computer Active - UK) that MS are going to put out a 'Family pack' whereby you can buy several(two, three?) XP CD's for less than cost of buying separately.
Useful for those who wish to stay legit.
Info at MS site. Haven't been to look yet.

Hi Thingy,
If there is a link in what you were reading to the MS site where this subject is discussed, please post it here.
Happy computing!

Just been to the site and can't find the info anywhere!!
I expect magazines get advanced info or it was 'leaked' before MS updates the site.
Sounds as if it ought to be true!

You don't actually receive multiple CDs. The Family licensing provides you with additional Product IDs. This is a great idea, but the price difference is not large enough. I suspect that Microsoft will probably drop the price for additional licenses a bit more. But it probably won't happen until next year. Even then, I don't see the drop being more than an additional $5-10.
