Thx downtime, just as expected really, so i guess the DLLCACHE dir isn't for Standby/shutdown then... that leaves me almost back to square 1, now i just need to find out what it is exactly in the DLLCACHE dir and why the size difference... i have no more ideas now, so i hope someone else finds out, as it would be nice to know if anythings going to go wrong when i delete them 
I'll let u know if all goes well when they are deleted, but it wont be for a while as i dont want ANY lockups on the AMD (and i know how stuburn XP can be)... i spose i could delete em on this PC but its only 8mb, well at least if it locks then i know not to try it on the other 1!
