back to NT problem
I installed windows 2000 server but now want to go back to NT. Problem is when I go to install NT I get an error that that partition is too big to format. I fdisked but is there something I need to do to see the whole drive. Allthat shows up on the install page of NT os 8 gig of an 18 gig HD. (there are 2 drives and the second one is all there but can't be installed either) Any ideas would be appreciated.
thanks
Brent

A fresh install of NT can't read past 8GB until loaded and install service pack 5 and up. You can make a slip-stream CD including the service pack or load on the 7.8GB partition. NT will not normally boot if installed in a partition over 7.8GB. There are workarounds, but just make the balance of the hard drive "D" after NT is installed.

Thanks DICK,
I have tried installed on partitions of
1 and 2 gig but get the same error or it being too large. I am working at this off and on with other things so hopefully something will happen. I don't use bootdisks for the install just straight from the cd.
