    Logon script (himem.sys error)

I have several WIN2K pro machines logging into our network quite happily (all using the same script)

One PC gives a Himem.sys error and then gives bad command foreach line of the logon script.

why is Win2K looking for himem.sys any answers appreciated before I have a reinstall.

    Cheers,

Himem.sys is what gives Windows access to the high memory area of your RAM. If you're having problems with that then you should:

1.) Extract the himem.sys file from the Win 2K cd and replace the one on the system. The file might just be corrupted.

2.) Update to service pack 2 if you haven't already.

3.) Just for kicks, try swapping your RAM in the bad machine with some from a properly operating machine.
