Userenv Error
Upon every reboot of NT 4.0 Server an error is displayed in the event viewer regarding userenv.
The error is "Your profile was not successfully loaded, but you have been logged on with the default system profile. Please correct the problem and log off."
As well a folder named system is created in c:\winnt\profiles. The name of this folder is incremented by each reboot, or log on. For ex., c:\winnt\profiles\system, c:\winnt\profiles\system.001, c:\winnt\profiles\system.002, etc..
How can I resolve this issue.

Keeping this one at the top because I have the problem too.
I reset the permissions for the "Profiles" folder to "everyone" - "full control" to see if I still get error. Hey, I should go check it now.

Nope...
Still get the error in the event log
Technet says there are 3 possibilities, 2 dont apply to my system and the 3rd was to reset the permissions.
Unless someone else has another suggestion... I guess I will have to live with the messages and the system folders.
