erasing HD of all NT info
Hello all,
I am attempting to set up a NT server. First attempt I got it all working right but while setting up logon scripts and policies I locked myself out of making any changes so I tried to reinstall NT. I formated the parition and naturally thought it would erase all info but after installing I had two sets of NT logons. One worked while the other gave me a page fault error. How do I totally erase the HD to get a clean install.
thanks
Brent

You should have done FDISK /MBR before the format. That clears the information on the Master Boot Record.
I believe you can edit the bootinformation manually but i have no experience with that.

Sloef,
Thanks for the response but where do I do the fdisk from? When i install I do it from booting to the NT server CD. I will give it a shot though when I find the proper spot

You should start from a bootfloppy. Then you can do the fdisk.
