To Regclean or not to Regclean

I just joined the NT family, dual booting with 98. I checked the past threads using "regclean" as a keyword but none of them really answered the basic question, should I run Regclean on a NT OS.

What do you all think and have any of you NT'ers had problems with it?

    Thanks

I've never used it on NT, however it should work.

Thanks ceh383, I checked the link and the basic requirements on your link are well within my setup. I went to the MS knowledge link included in yours and that's the second error 404 I've gotten at MS in 2 days. I wish they'd clean up their site.

At any rate After a backup today I'm going to go for it. Having just built this installation I've added the service packs, Zone Alarm, Anti-Virus software, network setup amd others. I've always found that the registry gets pretty disorganized with overwritten, discarded and plain outdated entries when building a machine although mine have all been Win 95 & 98.

    Thanks for the reply.

I use a piece of software called System Mechanic, it's got a great registry cleaner, much better than REGCLEAN

    Cheers
