Windows NT 4.0 Display Adapter Settings
I have been trying to adjust the display adapter settings from 16-bit to 256-bit and it won't let me. I have tried installing additional drivers from the Windows NT 4.0 CD and it still remains at 16-bit. The color is terrible. I am using a brand new ProView 17 inch color graphics monitor.

What video card are you using. I would doubt that the best driver for it is located on the NT cd. You should have a driver written by the card manufacturer to install.
Good luck

Call the Manufacturer and they will tell you exactly where to get the correct drivers, or you might find it on the net..( I learned my lesson after getting really frustrated with this problem)
Hope this Helps

Another thing to consider is that some Graphics cards require a certain level of NT Service Pack to work.
I would first ensure that you have loaded the correct drivers for your video card and then if it does not work try loading a recent service pack.
