    ntbackup permission problem

We are not able to backup up all files when running ntbackup through a batch file. The message "You do not have permission to access portions of this data" occurs on some directories that DO have backup operater permissions. (In fact, we ARE able to back up these directories through the normal backup up program in NT.) Microsoft's Knowledge Database states that I need a hotfix to the RDR.SYS file, but when I try to update it, I'm told that my current file is newer than the fix file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When the batch file runs, it takes on the permissions of the active logon. This may be the cause of your problem. If you run it using the Windows Scheduler (AT), you need to check the permissions for the Scheduler service.
